Way to go Aleksia!!!

Aleksia has been in a program called Girls On The Run for the last 5mos at school. It's a running program that teaches girls how to become better citizens and better people all around. They've been training for a 5k since the beginning and this Saturday they ran it. You couldn't run with your daughter but you could run with run of their friends if you wanted. So three of us Mom's decided to run it and paired up with each of the little girls. We also talked Elaine into joining in the fun. We had so much fun and I am so proud of all the girls. It wasn't timed but I will just brag for 1second and say that Aleksia, Morgan and Amy's group was the first ones to finish. Kelly and I came in a few minutes later due to a retying of her shoes and
Joy and Elaine just finished. YEAH US!!!

Enjoy the pictures.

Aleksia's Chinese Play

Aleksia's class has been learning about the Chinese Dynasties, and pretty much the whole history of China, for the past few months. The last few weeks they have been putting together a play to show everyone what they have been learning. The kids did it all themselves and it was amazing. The walls were covered from floor to ceiling inside and out of the classroom (you couldn't even tell it was a classroom) of murals, maps and information that the kids had made. You walked through the classroom and there were different sections set up for each dynasty. The 6th graders were the leaders for the dynasty and told about the important facts that happened during that time period. The 5th and 4th graders were in the background acting the parts of important facts and not making a sound. I couldn't believe a room with 50 kids, let alone my daughter, and so much paper could be that quiet. I seriously think you could of heard a pin drop. They worked really hard and it truly paid off. The play was a SUCCESS!!
Enjoy the pictures.

Horrible Itchy Hives!

As most of you know the hives are horrible itchy things. I think I've only had them once or twice but my daughter gets them all the time(I think she takes after her aunt Bri.). Today when I picked her up from school she went through the regular routine of telling me about school and never said a thing about itching. When we got home she sat by me and started itching, her legs were so dry so I told her to put on some lotion. She came back still scratching, but with moisturized legs I saw them. All 500 thousand million little red splotchy bumps on her. She was covered head to toe in hives. They were EVERY WHERE! I hurried and gave her a benadryl and covered her in cortisone. Needless to say we have a major school project due tomorrow that we were already behind on due to the lovely strep throat. Any way we had a great time trying to stay awake in order to due homework. Real Pepsi (thanks to grandpa's stash) cookies and churros, anything with sugar. Well she stayed awake about half way through until she crashed in her book. Yep my daughter hit yet another milestone- Studying so hard you fall asleep in your book no matter what is due. I got a picture, but with new phones haven't figured out my sims card. When I do I'll get it on here.

Sickie Lou Lou.

On Saturday night I was writing how well Leks was doing in school and we hadn't had any sickness. Well let's just say that was a lie because at the same time at her Grammy's she was having a high fever and a sore throat. I was totally unaware of this until Sunday night when she got home and had a fever of 103 and a red throat. We took her to the Dr. on Monday and sure enough...Strep Throat. So after being absent for three days to go to the Lake, she got another 2 days off. She was very happy to be back at school today. All who know my daughter can probably picture us trying to do everything but tie her to the bed for her to get better. I finally stopped giving her Motrin so she would just lay down and quit running around like crazy. I don't think she was the only one going crazy, I'm not sure how many new dances she made up(while in her costume) to the same song "I Will Survive", which played over and over. I just kept praying that I would survive. We did find out she wants to take dance again and that she loves being home alone and thinks she's big enough to watch Brax. I'm thinking another couple of years!!!! Aleksia wanted to fix a crisis of people not being sure of her costume. So just to clear up the costume, she is a..............
Candy Corn Witch.
