San Diego

We had a wonderful time in San Diego enjoying the warmth. We hit the beach, Sea World, some Museums and of course the pool. Looking out the window of the condo we noticed the fog rolling in. We got some pretty cool pictures but in this instance the pictures do not do justice. John had the kids freaking out by telling them pirates were coming to get them and sent them running for cover. It took a lot of convincing but they finally came out to watch. In the morning Aleksia spotted dolphins swimming out in the ocean and came to get everyone to watch.
We had so much fun we didn't want to come home but it was time to come back to real life. Brax had an appointment on Monday and things looked pretty good. They upped his meds and it seems to be helping. Aleksia was disappointed at going back to school but after a week of snow days and 2weeks of Christmas vacation she was pretty excited to see her friends. John got to come home and shovel more snow, we now have way to much to even measure. Luckily our neighbor had snowplowed some of it so John just got in the Rhino and plowed our drive way wider and a path to the front door. I got to look forward to oral surgery on Tuesday Yippee!! I had to have four of my roots taken out through my gums. This required them to cut my gums remove the roots and sew them back up. Needless to say I have had a wonderful week of sleep but my face looks pretty rough. If I get brave I might include a picture:)
I hope your all having a wonderful new year.

Christmas

Well Santa has come and gone and it's almost time to start a new year. We had an amazing Christmas with everyone getting what they wanted. Finally after 11yrs. I got scriptures that say Freer instead of Oberg on them and a coat rack that my Dad made(I'll past a picture when I get one). Lek's said over and over that this was the best year of all and she got everything she wanted and more. Of course she is always my Dad's shadow when she is up there so she did everything (except plow and shovel snow) with him. Brax got a lot of really cool toys that easily make noise and pretty much slept most of the day away.
While we were in Utah we hit the slopes a few times with Justin and Brianne and made it back with no injuries. For Christmas John got along with his towel warmer, a video recorder for his helmet. Were still learning how to use it and hopefully we will be able to post some videos.

We had to cut our trip short to come home and shovel Sizzler's roof. There was so much snow that three businesses had their roofs collapse and the fire dept. told everyone that they needed to shovel or possibly be closed. We had over 4ft of snow over a one week period. So we came home to mounds of snow and freezing temps. Needless to say that when the opportunity to head over to San Diego came up we took it. So now were in 70degree weather and LOVING IT. (We just couldn't take any more snow and all the people that were in town to enjoy it.)
We hope you all have a wonderful New Year.
Love,
Amie

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Can you believe it is here. I feel like we just had Thanksgiving and now it's Christmas Eve. I'm not sure how I feel about it, I love this time of year and hate to think that it is almost over. Aleksia is defiantly excited and can't wait until Santa comes. My Dad helped her make cookies for Santa (I will put the pictures up when I figure out my Mom's computer) and is really helping her get excited. I can't help but wonder who is more excited him or her.
The picture is of my nephew Easton. His Mom took the picture the other day and I had to share it with you.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!
Love,
Amie

More snow and more fun!

Here are some pictures from this afternoon. The little kid is Kyler, our friends kid. He hated sledding but loved shoveling. If only Leksie still loved it. Enjoy the photos.
