Catching up

It's amazing how fast time goes by before you know it. We have been so busy that it has been a while since I've posted a blog (one day I will find time to do it every two or three days). We have had a busy month trying to get everything packed for are final summer trip (while watching Kyler for 3 nights), putting it all away and pulling out the fall and winter clothing. It's amazing how quick the temp. changes here. One day it's in the 80's and the next it's low 50's and snow on the peaks. I do have to admit I'm pretty excited for snow. Nothing beats late starts and snow days!!!

Aleksia is doing great in school and loves it, even the 1-2hrs of homework which I can't stand. They are doing a hugh project on China and she is really getting into it. She just wishes Dad went there on his mission instead of Korea sometimes. It's really fun to see them get excited over learning things. Kudos to her teachers for making learning so fun. She is loving Gymnastics and has landed her front hand spring a few times. She flipped to hard once and is a little more cautious now. She is always practicing no matter where we are, like the grocery store. She is defiantly growing into a little lady. She loves her little bro. and her second brother Kyler way to much. I think they get tired of all her kisses and hugs.

Brax is doing a lot better now. We had a really rough couple of weeks with him and his seizures. After a week of the guessing game, we've finally got the med's readjusted and he's leveled out again. He is loving school and is a lot more alert. His teacher's said he laughed a couple of times at school when they were playing the tickling game and is doing great at staying awake and alert. Our friend Scotty couldn't believe how alert he was at the Lake. He truly loved riding on the boat and would get such a huge grin and his little tongue going just mentioning it. He also love's music and probably liked the fact that Scotty blasted it all the time.

All in all we are doing great and having a wonderful time keeping up with everything going on and finding time to play. We just can't wait to hit the slopes!!!

Three Little Birds....

WELL DAD THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.
(and any one else who cares).
As most of you know-One of my favorite singers is Bob Marley and my favorite song is Three Little Birds. Basically the birds are on his porch and tell him"Don't worry about a thing. Cause every little thing is gona be all right. At first we had 4 but ended up with three, so I thought this is a perfect song for this. However I have no clue how to add music on to these things. Any Hints?

This story can really only be told in three parts...
SO.......

PART 1
My parent's came down on June 6th and Bri stayed with us after they left. She was the first one to realize that, in the wreath on the front door there was a birds nest. Two beautiful Birds were working so hard and had the nest at least 92% done. Being the kind and loving people we are, we had to leave it there. We just couldn't part with the amusement of Brianne meeting her worst fear every time she opened the door. It was also fun watching her body move in any direction possible to avoid them. I hope you still love me Bri.

PART 2
When we left for Utah and Idaho 4 days later, Bri could not get away fast enough. After Idaho and Utah, we came home and started to unpack. Leks came booking down the stairs and I could hear a chair scraping. You guessed it she was checking on the nest and sure enough there were 4 perfect little birdy eggs in there. One week later, we were in the car again headed up to Lake Powell.

Part 3
We get home from the Lake and Leks runs to the door to check on the eggs. There weren't any eggs this time but.....4 pink naked baby birds. YEAH!!! -ugh- So over the next two weeks Leks becomes there gaurdian and will let no one use our front door. I do have to admit that it was amazing watching these naked Minature Gummy Bear sized birds turn into Birds with fluff after 3days. Over the next 2 days they became the size of a Cinnamon Bear with feathers. A couple of days later they tripled their size and became poo monsters. Finally, two weeks and one day after the first discovery of the pink naked birds-they learned to fly out of the nest. Ending the enjoyment of the baby birds. I just wish I had taken pictures of the eggs and ther birds as the progress ....who knew a camera or its flash would kill them????

Oh ya, I forgot, John got to buy a new powerwasher to clean off the 2wk supply of poop that was left. (After hrs. of scrubbing we decided it was the only way to get it off)! It worked, now we just need to restain the door. What we do for kids.
